Donald L. Lycke Sr., died Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Atrium Post-Acute Care in Black River Falls.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. Kevin’s Catholic Church, 813 N. Washington St., Melrose with Fr. Emmanuel Famiyeh officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in the Melrose Cemetery.

Anna M Woof, age 96 of Black River Falls, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Black River Falls.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Torgerson's Funeral Home, Black River Falls with Minister James Paulley officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Private burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery.

Martin (John) Schindler Jr., 83 of Kendall passed away on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 at his home.

John was born to Martin and Leona (Keen) Schindler on September 26th, 1935 in Black Valley. He was united in marriage to Janice Smith on October 6, 1956 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Together they raised a family in Kendall.

John was a farmer, mason, and carpenter during his working years. He loved to fish and hunt as well as tell a story to anyone who would listen. He loved watching a good game of baseball and spent many hours watching the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers. As of late his favorite past time was taking the long way around to the Dairy Queen in Tomah, WI and having lunch and then venturing back home for an afternoon nap.

He is survived by a son James (Beverly) Smith of Milwaukee, three daughters Deborah (Doug) Elder, Patricia Young, and Paula (Timothy) Drea all of Kendall, his grandchildren, Ann Marie Husnik of West Allis, Laura (Chris) Shilling of White Fish Bay, Brandi (Rick) Bloor of Hillsboro, Jeremy (Heather) Elder of Kendall, Justin (Danielle) Elder of Wonewoc, John (Kelli) Young of Kendall, Jaime (Gab) Angeles of Tacoma, WA, Jeanna Young (David Hanson) of Reedsburg, WI, and Janessa Young (Kyle Martin) of Tomah, and Kelsey Drea (Jeff Taylor) of Hattisburg, MI, 21 great-grandchildren, two brothers Lyle (Betsy) Schindler of Seattle, WA and David Schindler of Costa Mesa, CA, and many other relatives and friends.

Eugene Charles Gebhardt, age 89, of Warrens, WI, passed away on March 5, 2019 at the Tomah VA Hospital.

A Celebration of Eugene's Life will be held on his 90th birthday on Sunday, May 5, 2019, 12:00 p.m., at the Warrens Log Cabin Building. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences are available at

Yvonne Mack, 82 of St. Mary’s Ridge, rural Norwalk, WI, passed away Tuesday, March 05, 2019, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, WI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on St. Mary’s Ridge. Father Michael Klos will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton, beginning at 4:00 and concluding at 7:00 with praying of the Rosary. Visitation will also be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
