Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:00a.m. in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Whitehall. Burial will be inthe North Beaver Creek Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ettrick.Friends may call one hour prior to the service.The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family witharrangements.

Wilda W. Nichols (Erickson) Vieth, 89, of Sparta, WI; passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, WI.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the Torkelson Page-Smith Funeral Home, Sparta, WI. Burial will follow in the Leon Cemetery. Dennis A. Simonsen, 76, of Camp Douglas, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.

Dennis was born on August 16,1942 to Alvin and Helen (Lingman) Simonsen. He married Donna Leiendecker on September 5, 19

70 at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral in Juneau, AK.

Dennis was a man of deep faith with a huge heart that cared for all those around him. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a Knight of the 4th Degree in both Wisconsin and Washington State. Dennis wanted his family to experience as much of life as possible. To live by example, he and his wife Donna began a day Care and foster care program raising 250 children including 13 foreign exchange students. He worked as a tour agent in Seattle, WA until computers became more relevant. At that time, he went back to school to complete his certification to become a Medical Assistant.

Marian L. (Morgan) Rhodenhizer, 100, of Sparta, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta.


A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, February 11, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta with a lunch being served right after the service. Burial will be in Big Creek Union Cemetery, Rural Sparta.
