Several Black River Falls residents must think Michael Rave has what it takes to be a civil servant.

The Black River Falls Common Council appears to agree with that assessment as council members welcomed Rave as its newest member.

“People from the general public and a couple from the common council approached me about submitting a letter of interest for the position,” Rave said. “I thought I could bring skills to the city and it allows me to have more of a voice in the city’s operations.”

Rave was sworn in as alderman for the city’s first ward last month. His appointment fills the seat vacated by Eric Erickson. In filling Erickson’s uncompleted term, Rave will hold the position until April 2019.
