Jared Wilkey, 35, of Necedah was arrested Monday, Oct. 23 by the Black River Falls Police Department after stealing nearly $9,000 worth of phones from the Walmart in Black River Falls during two separate trips to the store.

Wilkey first stole nine Samsung cell phones worth $6,735 on Oct. 8 from Walmart. During this incident, Wilkey was accompanied by a female who appeared to be watching the area while Wilkey opened the cell phone display case and took the phones, according to the report.

Wilkey again came into the store on Oct. 10 and stole 12 Straight Talk iPhones worth $2,178. This time Wilkey appeared to be alone and again opened the cell phone display case and took the phones.
