Dakota M. Funmaker, 26, of Wisconsin Dells was arrested early Saturday morning after fleeing the Jackson County Sheriff's Office due to a routine traffic stop.

The Jackson County Sheriff's deputy initiated the stop in Black River Falls on N. Fifth St., which is when Funmaker accelerated and fled from the deputy.

The suspect then continued onto Interstate 94, reaching speeds of more than 110 miles per hour.

Funmaker then lost control of the vehicle and crashed. He and the passenger of the vehicle, Jordan M. Funmaker, 25, also of Wisconsin Dells, ran from police.

Both suspects were captured after a foot pursuit and area search.

Dakota was arrested for first offense operating while intoxicated, obstructing an officer and felony fleeing.
