Mary Finch, age 50, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Gundersen Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

A celebration of Mary’s life is being planned for a later date. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family. Online condolences are available at

John “Jack” Dahl, was born November 12, 1954 in La Crosse Wisconsin to Wayne and Rose Marie (Rogowski) Dahl.

On May 1st, 2017, Jack passed away at the age of 62, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He will be remembered with a smile.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 6, 2017 at 11:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Cashton. Father Michael Klos will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Pine Hollow. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Friday beginning with a prayer service and 4:00 p.m. and continuing until 8 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton. Visitation will also be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Torkelson Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements. LaVern J. “Mudcat” Milek, age 78, of Arcadia, WI passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 23, 1939, in Arcadia WI, to Clifford and Amelia (Wozney) Milek. He married LaVonne C. Schmidt in 1962, in Tacoma, Washington. After that, they lived in Arcadia their whole lives.

Lavern was a man of great faith and was a member of the Holy Family Parish in Arcadia Wi. He was a member of the National Guard and was called to active duty in Fort Lewis Washington during the Berlin crisis. In LaVern’s younger years, he loved to play softball, bowl and golf. He was an avid outdoorsman where he loved to trap and hunt, and had a passion for the river and fishing. LaVern loved life. He had a sense of humor, was somewhat of a storyteller, and for anyone who knew him, had his own language.

Franklin Klein, 80, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away April 29, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Health Care Center in Black River Falls.

A memorial service for Franklin will be this Sunday, May 7 at 12:15pm at Countryside Church 305 Green Street Merrillan, WI with Pastor Samuel Faust officiating.
